Thank you for choosing the Hortigual mini-greenhouse kits!
DIRECTIONS :
1. Pour soil into the bottom of the mini greenhouse and water thoroughly. Carefully press down on top of the soil and then, using a pen, make two small trenches 3/8 inch deep, 1 inch apart. Place seeds in each and cover them with soil. Spray water on it and place the cover on the mini greenhouse to preserve its microclimate. IMPORTANT: For herbs: use only half of the seeds provided. The other half can be used later for a second planting. For very small seeds: spread them evenly on the ground, without trenches and without covering them.
2. Place your mini greenhouse where it can benefit from natural sunlight, if possible. Alternatively, use a grow or fluorescent light as additional lighting. Water your plant lightly every other day or so. Don't let the floor dry out.
3. For tomato plants: transplant them as soon as the first "true tomato leaves" appear above the first two leaves of the plants (about 2 weeks). To do this, carefully pull the small plant out of the ground. Then, make a hole in the ground as deep as possible, with a small stick or a pen, and slip the small plant into it to bury the stem. Gently press the soil for good contact around the stem, then water. This stimulates root development along the stem; the more roots, the stronger the tomato plant will be.
4. After about 6 weeks, remove the cover from the mini greenhouse, when the plant begins to touch the ceiling of the cover, and the roots are visibly abundant.
5. During the 7th week you can transplant your plant in your garden or in a pot. The larger the pot, the more your plant will grow and be productive. For tomato plants, we recommend a 5 gallon pot. Eco-trick: you can recycle a bucket or a clean used container by drilling a few holes in its base for the evacuation of water.
6. After 8 weeks, sprinkle some fertilizer on the soil and water.
7. Good harvest!
